Fighting Climate Change and other CSR activities
Practical Solutions is aiming to be one of the leaders within reducing and offsetting their effect on our planet. We are proud to have worked with a number of schemes to minimise our net CO2 emissions.
This year Practical Solutions have worked along-side CarbonFootprint.com in order to help meet the aim of minimising our Net 0 CO2 emissions made by our consultants traveling to our clients. For our first project we funded the planting of native broad-leaved trees in Kenya in the Great Rift Valley, our funding also supported the developing communities around this location by reducing poverty and creating a brighter future for project team members including orphans and people living with HIV / AIDS.
As well as taking part in the Kenya reforestation project, Practical Solutions once again worked with CarbonFootprint.com to plant trees around the UK. This project saw trees being planted in school locations, this helped to educate young children within schools and support local wildlife habitats. All trees planted in this project were broad-leaved, British native trees and included species such as English Oak, Blackthorn, and Wild Cherry. This was to help enhance the natural UK landscape.
Practical Solutions understands that Climate Change is not something that can be fixed overnight but by taking steps we believe that we can eventually meet a net 0 CO2 emissions across all aspects of our work. We are constantly thinking of new initiatives that we can take part in to help communities and fight climate change. In 2021 and 2022 we are looking to further improve our impact on the planet and help more communities around the world.
